摘要
从检索功能 (如布尔检索、邻近检索、截词检索等 )、查准率、用户负担、输出方式上比较了 Google和 Ask Jeeves两大搜索引擎的检索性能 ,测试研究发现 Google在查准率以及输出方式上明显地优于 Ask Jeeves,而在检索功能及用户负担上两者各有特色。在比较评价的同时 ,提出了一套实用的搜索引擎检索性能评价方案。
HT5”SS]The search performances of the two search engines Google and Ask Jeeves are compared in this paper. It's found that Google is better than Ask Jeeves in presicion and output display format, however, Ask Jeeves excels in search functions and user effort.
