借助美国政治研究的三种理论,可以从美国大历史的视角分析特朗普政府体现出的历史延续性(共性)。史蒂芬·斯科夫罗内克有关总统权力与权威的理论解释了特朗普高度个人化的执政风格,小阿瑟·施莱辛格的美国历史周期论解释了特朗普及其执政团队的困境,塞缪尔·亨廷顿关于美国政治发展的理论则解释了当前美国社会的动荡。本文的分析表明,特朗普政府并非一个完全"例外"的政府,而在诸多方面延续了美国政治大历史的规律。
Three theoretical approaches are employed in this article to analyze the historical continuities(i.e. commonalities) of the Trump Administration in the context of American political development. Stephen Skowronek’s theory of presidential power and authority explains President Trump’s highly individualized governing style. Arthur Schlesinger Jr.’s theory about the cycles of American history explicates the Trump Administration’s governing dilemmas. Samuel P. Huntington’s theory about the development of American politics helps us understand the ongoing turbulence in American society. Our analysis suggests that the Trump administration is not all that 'exceptional'; instead it demonstrates a striking degree of continuation of American political history.
