信源-信道联合编码技术在移动通信中的应用 被引量:2

Joint Source Channel Coding Method for Image Transmission over Wireless Channels

摘要 针对移动信道的特点 ,分析了移动通信中信源与信道独立编码的局限性和联合编码研究的必要性 ,列举了几种常用的联合编码技术 ,对联合编码技术研究现状和发展进行了详细的评述 ,结合 Turbo码技术指出了联合编码方法是进一步优化多媒体移动通信系统性能的出路之一 . Attach to Joint Source and Channel Coding(JSCC),we present a complete and detailed review in this field, including present development and possible future. Mobile channels are different from the wireline and storage channels. In a mobile environment the channel is quite noisy,we think that in a practical system seperate coding is no longer applicable and JSCC is necessary. Transmission of multimedia over time varying wireless communication channels can benefit from the use of JSCC. JSCC may be a way to optimize the performance of communication systems.At last,the best combination of Source coding and Turbo coding is still an open question,especially for fading channels.
