随着适宜于制造胶合板的木材供应减少和价格上升,胶合板生产的优势地位已受到相当大的影响。小径材或速生材的利用及胶合板用材树种的扩大是发展胶合板生产最重要的措施。变革胶合板生产工艺可以开发利用新的原料来源、提高劳动生产率、降低生产成本、并使产品多样化。计算机控制和先进的电子技术大大地提高了胶合板生产线的效率和功能,并保证了产品的质量。
Plywood possesses good strength, dimensional stability and dura- bility. Its strength/weight ratio is the highest among the wood composites.with these features the plywood has becomes a primary product of woodbased panels. The decrease of timber supply suitable for plywood manufac-turing and the rise of cost of wood have influenced greatly the advantageousposition plywood has in production. The utilization of small dimensiontimber or fast growing trees, and the extension of wood species beingused for plywood manufacturing are the most important measures fordevelopment of plywood production. The improvement in plywood manufac-turing techniques are helpful to the plywood industry for adapting to thechanged conditions of raw material production, The technical innovation inproduction can open up new material sources for exploitation,increase laborproductivity, reduce cost of production and realize diversity of products.Computers have been introduced into the plywood industry for controllingthe manufacturing processes. Computerized control and sophisticated electro-nics can greatly enhance the efficiency and functions of production lines,and guarantee the quality of plywood products. Due to the shortage of woodresources and lack of advanced technology, the plywood industry in Chinais also facing a lot of difficulties. Some effective measures, therefore, mustBe taken to avoid the disadvantageous impact on production. These measuresmainly include the extensive production of plywood raw materials as indi-cated above, increasing the wood utilization efficiency, decreasing materialcomsumption in manufacturing processes, promoting product diversity andimproving product quality.
