The mechanism of crystallization of flue gas desulfurization sludge waste into α form calcium sulfate hemihydrate through differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) is obtained. The FGD gypsum is converted into β form hemihydrate at first, and then β form hemihydrate is converted into α form hemihydrate.
