A class of linear parabolic partial differential equations in a generalized form is studied using Orlicz space theory. The global L M estimate for weak solutions is obtained by establishing interior and boundary estimates for weak solutions in Orlicz Sobolev space, which generalizes the classical L p theory for the weak solutions of linear parabolic equations and lays a foundation for the existence and uniqueness of weak solutions in Orlicz Sobolev space.
