摘要
TiAl based alloys are developed for elevated temperature applications, owing to their high strength, light weight and oxidation resistance. The influences of rare earth metal (Ce) on microstructure of TiAl based alloy was studied. The results show that most of rare earth phases are uniformly distributed in grain boundary, and rare earth element can obviously refine the grain size and the lamellar spacing of as cast TiAl based alloy samples. The grain size of Ti 47Al 1 2Ce alloy reaches about 50 μm, and the lamellar spacing is less than 150 nm.
