In the field of polymeric materials, molecular composite is an important aspect. In this paper, molecular composite's concept, perfect properties, criteria, category are discussed, several preparation methods of molecular composite and the progress of several preparation methods are reviewed in detail. In addition, In situ polymerization becomes a more successful methods because of the eliminating of phase separation between polymers and high level of molecular level dispersion. At last, key problems that influence the development deeply of molecular composites are also reviewed.
