简单地介绍了ATM的产生前提以及ATM作为一种协议 ,它的参考模型、涉及的层面以及各层间的关系 ;详细介绍了ATM物理层、适配层和ATM层的工作方式和功能 ,在ATM层中介绍了ATM的信元格式和各个字段的作用 ;分异步时分复用和异步交换 2个方面简要论述了ATM的异步原理 ,通过实例明确了ATM的广阔应用。
The paper introduces that ATM fits the need of network's width and comprehensive business,ATM's mould,the decks it involves and the tariff each other.It introduces carefully how the PHY,AALand ATM layer work and what their functions are.Finally,it tells us that the asynchronous principle is divided into asynchronous time_division multiplexing and asynchronous exchanging.This paper brights the application of ATM through an example.
