Compared with the Western European market and the North American Market, the Eastern Asia, the third largest market in the world, still has a long way to go since its appropriate position and functions have not been completely displayed. In this article, the authors discuss the present situation, existing barriers, scope of development and strategic orientation in the “10+3” cooperative framework, predict the bright future for the regional economic cooperation, and firmly believe that the region will develop into a world supermarket in the 21st century.
