摘要
迄今为止,美国现代景观建筑学走过了一个多世纪的历程,经过在科学与艺术两个方面的拓展与流变,已经发展成为与传统园林不同的,有着自身独特价值的实践专业。透过历史的发展可以看出美学、社会需求和环境主义三种潜在关怀的综合与平衡是美国现代景观建筑学一个世纪的追求,并且仍将成为下一个世纪的工作准绳。
Today,after more than a century of specialization in arts and sciences, modern landscape architecture, which has a special value system, has been a different subject which differs from traditional garden design. Through the history, we can learn how to keep the balance of three underlying concerns (aesthetics, social need and environmentalism) is the seeking of modern landscape architecture of U.S for a century and this concerns should also be the ethic of landscape architecture in the next century.
