The FT\|Raman spectroscopy has been successfully applied to the gemological Research and gemstone identification.It can accurately test the inclusion inside gems and provide the origin and locality information of gems.It has been found to be a useful,fast,non\|destructive and accurate method for identification the gemstones' types(natural gemstones,synthetic gemstones and high quality gemstones).However,this method has some demerits.
