摘要
珠江三角洲的活动断裂主要为弱活动断裂,分别属于NW,NE和EW向三组断裂,活动断裂是控制该三角洲断块运动和地震活动的关键。珠江三角洲主要为区域稳定性中等地区。
By analyses of geological-geophysical information, it is considered that active faults in Pearl River Delta are mainly weak-active faults, and secondly micro-active faults. They respectively belong to NW, NE and EW trending three fault systems, among them, Xijiang Fault and Shawan Fault (both of NW trending) are the most active ones. Pearl River Delta Fault Depression Zone can be divided into Dongjiang (East Pearl River), Xibeijiang (Northwest Pearl River) and Wugui Mt. three fault blocks. The subsidence of each depression is mainly tectonic subsidence.
The frequency of earthquake activity in Pearl River Delta is relatively higher, but the intensity of earthquake activity is relatively lower. The earthquake activity is controlled by active faults (especially by NW trending active fault). The potential focal zones which have influence on Pearl River Delta are mainly off the Pearl River Mouth, northwest Pearl River Delta, Yangjiang, Heyan, and Honghaiwan (Red Sea Bay) Mouth. By comprehensive studies, it is pointed out that the Pearl River Delta is the main medium stable zone in a regional stability zone. Dong-Jiang Fault Block,Panyu, Wuguishan and Zhuhai three fault block uplifts, and Xinhui Fault Block Depression, are the better areas in regional stability. Denglongsha and Wanqingsha two fault block depressions are the worse areas in regional stability.
