When the safety factor drops below unity, sawtooth oscillations are observed in the CT-6B tokamak We use a simple sawtooth oscillation model combined with a tokamak transport code to simulate this process. The results show that the sawtooth oscillation appears easily in the case of gas-puffing. The radius of q=1 magnetic surface r_s is about 2-3 cm, which is consistent fairly well with the experiment. The anomalous electron heat conductivities from numerical simulation and the results from internal disruption experiments are compared.
