Al_2O_3基多角柱状陶瓷复合材料的延缓型断裂(英文)

摘要 摘 要 研究了以SiC为界面层的Al2O3基多角柱状陶瓷复合材料的断裂韧性以及断裂功,发现该材料的断裂能显著提高.通过观察裂纹扩展路径以及断裂形貌,分析了多角柱状复合材料的断裂行为.在弯曲强度和韧性测试中,这一材料在适当的载荷容量下,展示出延缓型的断裂行为和非脆性的失效方式. The Al2O3/SiC prismatic ceramic composites, which compose of fibrous polycrystalline cells of alumina separated by thin cell boundaries of SiC, had been prepared by mold extruding and hot pressing techniques, and the mechanical properties of the composites, such as strength, fracture toughness and fracture work, were evaluated as a function of the boundary thickness in this paper, the fracture energy was improved greatly comparing to alumina monolith, which was attributed to the developed route for crack propagation by those weaker boundaries. Based on the observation for crack propagation and fracture morphology, the fracture behavior of the prismatic composites was analyzed. In the bending test, the composites display a non-catastrophic behavior and a graceful failure with reasonable load-carrying capability
