摘要
１９９６年上海成立了目前世界上仅有的肝胆外科医院。文章分析了肝胆外科成为独立医院的基础与条件，认为人类需求是其内在动机，科学发展是其推动动力，人才汇聚与生存空间是其存在条件，在政策扶持下，应运而生。
The world's first surgical hospital of liver and gall was founded in Shanghai in 1996. An analysis is here made of the bases and conditions on which a surgical department of liver and gall can be expanded into an independent hospital. It is concluded that human need is the internal motive of such an expansion, scientific progress the external force. The concentration of medical specialists and the available living space provide the necessary conditions. With the support of government policies, the expansion is eventually carried out.
