摘要
教育是文化的一部分 ,并受到民族文化传统的影响。研究一国的教育必须研究该国的文化传统。教育有选择、传播、发现、创造文化的功能。民族文化传统与教育现代化既有矛盾 ,又互相依存。教育现代化就是要用民族性、时代性两个标准对民族文化传统加以批判地继承 ,取其精华 ,去其糟粕 ,创建一个符合时代要求的新的民族文化。同时要吸收世界文明的一切优秀成果。对于教育本身的旧传统。
Education, as part of culture, is influenced by the tradition of national culture. Studies on the education of one country must be concerned about its cultural tradition, for education enjoys the functions of selecting, transmitting, discovering and creating culture. The relationship between the tradition of national culture and midernization of education is both contradictory and complementary to each other. Modernization of education means critical inheritance, rejecting the dross and assimilating the essence, and in terms of nationalism and timeliness creating a new national culture fulfilling the requirements of the times. It should, meanwhile, assimilate the great achievements of world civilization. The old tradition and concept of education itself need to be improved and transformed.
