This article aims to describe trends which will influence various covering methods. The actual market situation and development trends will be examined. The technical aspects will be described from the viewpoint of the component manufacturers, who analyze the textile processes of covering for further developments. Clearly, the world wide trend towards stretch fabrics to be worn by the end user of textile products is the basis for all development efforts in the manufacturing process for combination yarns with elastomers.
