In this paper,a new speed control system of the switched reluctance motor (SRM) is set up on the basis of the analysis of its nonlinear model. In order to solve the torque′s smooth transition during the changing process of excited phases,a new method of torque distribution is proposed. It is proved by theoretical analysis and also demonstrated by simulation experiment of SRM(6/4) that the control system can effectively reduce the torque ripple.
