The applications of the software AutoCAD2000 in the computer aided mapping of relief maps can greatly improve the drawing efficiency,but there are no functions of automatically forming contours on the basis of the digit topography model.It is possible to achieve the automatic contour plotting by using the VBA programme technique,the ways of which are to upbuild a triangular net with divergent spots collected from the field point layout and to put the contour points into the sides of the triangle.
