歇后语是一种最具我国民族特色的熟语。它广泛而灵活地运用了丰富多彩的修辞格，形成了生动精练、活泼形象、幽默俏皮的表达效果，显示了歇后语的独特魅力，也体现出了人民群众语言艺术的创造才能。
Slangs 'Xiehouyu' are a kind of definite expressions of the most striking features in our national language. The rich and colourful rhetorical devices are extensively and flexibly used in them and the lively, brief, active and humorous expressing effects are achieved.They show the unique charm and people's creative abilities on language arts.
