摘要
毛泽东在探索适合中国国情的社会主义建设道路和研究社会主义理论时，提出社会主义分为“不发达”和“比较发达”两个阶段，我国处在“不发达的社会主义”阶段，并且认为这个阶段要经过一个相当长的发展时期。这些具有开创意义的思想，丰富和发展了马克思主义。它既是我们党形成社会主义初级阶段理论的思想来源之一，也对深入研究社会主义初级阶段理论具有方法论的指导意义。
When exploring socialist construction characteristic of China, and studying socialist theory, Mao Zedong proposed two periods in socialist constnction: underdeveloped period and comparatively developed period which would last a fairly long time. This is a creative theory which has enriched and developed Marxism. It is one of the important sources of CPC's forming elementary socialist period theory. Besides, it provides methodology to the further study of elementary socialist period.
