摘要
从16世纪末英国开始在北美大西洋沿岸建立第一批殖民地起,到17世纪下半叶英国资产阶级革伞完成,是英国在北美建立殖民地的早期阶段。在这个阶段后期,即英国资产阶级革命结束时,不仅殖民者的人数迅速增长,而且殖民地统治阶层的成分也发生了巨大变化,殖民地与宗主国之间的矛盾已经显露出来。这时期出现的错综复杂的矛盾,为美国独立战争的爆发做了早期准备。
It was the early period when Britain began to set up its first colony in North America from the end of the 16th century along the coasts of the Atlantic Ocean in North America to the second half of the 17th century at the completion of British bourgeois revolution. In the later period, i. e. at the end of British bourgeois revolution, the population in the colony was rapidly increasing; besides, great changes took place in the component of the ruling stratum in the colony, the contradiction between colony and the suzerain manifesting itself. The complicated contradiction in this period paved the way for the break - out of American War for Independence.
