摘要
折射率、色散和吸收系数是用于超高速全光开关的光学材料的重要品质指数。本文用椭圆偏振仪对碲铌铅 (TNP)玻璃试样作波长自动扫描测量 ,测得在波长λ =2 5 8.3~ 82 6 .6nm范围内的折射率图谱与消光系数图谱 ,从而可计算各试样的阿贝数υd 和非线性折射率n2 。结果表明TNP玻璃具有较高的n2 。
Refractive index, chromatic dispersion and absorption coefficient are material figures of merit for ultrafast all optical switch. In this paper, the refractive index and extinction coefficient of lead niobium telluride (TNP) glass were measured from scanning the wavelength range of 258.3 and 826.6nm by using ellipsometric technique and the Abbe number υ d, nonlinear refractive index n 2 could be estimated from the measured results. The result shows TNP glasses is characteristic with high value of n 2 within the oxide glasses, therefore the TNP glass is one of the candidate materials used for ultrafast all optical switch.
