摘要
Proper configuration of boundary buffer for multimedia objects(MOs) is a vital means to satisfy the requirement of QOP in real-time multimedia communication. This paper analyzes the time sequence of MOs transmission and the mathematical relationahip of QOP parameters in master/slave media inter-stream synchronization, gives the minimum and maximum number of buffers for pre-fetching MOs. The calculation result has been verified in a practical multimedia communication system.
