Confirmation of price index of ship-repair material concerns directly with the economic efficiency for shipyard and shipping company.This paper gives brief account for the role of price index in ship-repair cost and introduces the measuring method for such price index from the angle of statistics principles so as to safeguard efficiency fairly for shipyard and shipping company.
