The cultivation of competition is the core of realizing competition strategy. The successful realization of low price strategy by Wal-Mart lies in the cultivation of the core competence. Firms with low price strategy pay more attention to the cultivation of the core competence with low cost. Focusing on the strategic link of purchasing commodities, Wal-Mart took great pains to develop and cultivate the core competence.
