Based on the self organization theory, this paper develops a type of neural networks of the Group Method of Data Handling (GMDH NN) enabling automatic variables selection which ensures optimal complexity and explicit mathematical models. Then the paper presents a case using GMDH algorithm in analyzing and predicting Sichuan′s electricity consumption.
