摘要
古楚语和古吴越语在先秦时代是和中原“通语”差异最大的两种方言。而闽语和吴越语的关系尤为密切。莆仙方言为闽语支流之一，其口语中至今尚保留着一批与文献记载相吻合的古吴楚方言词语，它们可作为闽语和古吴楚语有深刻渊源关系的佐证之一。
The dialects of ancient Chu and Wuyue kingdoms are the two dialects which are much different from Zhongyuan communicative language. And there is an especially close relationship between Min dialect and Wuyue dialect. Puxian dialect is one of the branches of Min dialect. So far in its colloquialism there exist a lot of dialect words of ancient Wu and Chu kingdoms which accord with the historical documents and can serve as one of the proofs of the profound source relation between Min dialect and the one in ancient Wu and Chu kingdoms.
