马汉是美国杰出的海军史学家和海军理论家 ,其海权理论著作被誉为“海军的《圣经》”。他把海权提到了前所未有的理论高度 ,对美国海军建设和对外政策产生了深远影响。因此 ,具有重要的研究价值。
Mahan,Alfred Thayer(1840 1914),an excellent American naval historian and theorist,is well known for his Sea Power theory masterpieces which are regarded as “the Bible of Navy”。He emphasized Sea Power theory more strongly than ever before.It exerts profound effect on American navy and foreign affairs.Therefore,it is worthwhile to do some research on it.
