摘要
同步问题是共享存储器多处理机系统设计和并行程序设计中最富有挑战性的问题之一。本文介绍了用硬件有效地支持多处理机间同步的HALT 主动唤醒同步电路的工作原理和实现方法。该同步电路具有同步速度快、易于集成和工程实现、编程方便、实时性能好和实用价值高等优点,特别适用于细粒度(fine-grain)并行处理。
Synchronization is one of the most challenging problems in the design of shared
memory multiprocessors and parallel programs.The principle and the implementation method of
HALT-positive wake-up synchronization circuit which efficiently supports the synchronization of
multiprocessors are presented in this paper.The major features of the HALT circuit include high
synchronization speed,good real-time processing ability,convenience of programming,and ease of
integration and implementation.All of these features make it particularly suitable to the fine-grained
parallelism.
