The flotation separation behaviour of mercury (Ⅱ) with sodium nitrate ammonium thiocyanate hexadecyl trimethylammoniun bromide system and the conditions for the separation of mercury (Ⅱ) from other metal ions were studied. It showed that Hg(Ⅱ) can be separated from Cd(Ⅱ), Al(Ⅲ), Ni(Ⅱ), Co(Ⅱ), Mn(Ⅱ) and Fe(Ⅱ) by flotation at pH=1.0
