摘要
世界的聚酯工业近２０年来得到了高速发展，亚洲聚酯的发展速度更是惊人，聚酯工业的重心开始移向亚洲。到９０ 年代中期由于产能扩充过多，除中国以外已出现供大于求的局面，现世界聚酯业经过一段时间的结构调整，又进入了新一轮的发展。在中国即将加入ＷＴＯ和面临新世纪聚酯工业发展之际，对世界以及中国的聚酯工业市场、技术、发展、方向进行分析，寻找差距，制定对策，必将有助于中国聚酯工业的发展规划的制定，以迎接新世纪的挑战。
Due to the technology development and market demand, the PET industry has been developed very quickly in China, Asia and the whole world in the last twenty years. The focus of the PET industry has been moving to Asia and the Asia' s PET industry has been brought to a new stage. The technical development, market, production capacity and output of PET and polyester fibers industry at home and abroad are analyzed and forecasted to find out the gap between China and the developed countries in this field. Some proposals are put forward.
