摘要
现代主义建筑的发展有一种趋向简洁的传统。通过几个作品的介绍和分析，探讨８０～９０年代西方建筑设计中的极少主义表现，总结这些作品的显著特征，指出当代的这种极少主义倾向与现代主义运动时期的简约倾向有着明显的不同。这类极端理性的建筑创作思想及作品对于当前中国的建筑创作具有一定的借鉴意义。
As a tradition. the modern architecture has a trend to be succinct, With several examples, this article illustrates the minimalism expression in present architectural design of western countries, and points out that this expression is different from the simplicity tendency during the Modernism Movement. At last, the article indicates that Chinese architects may benefit from this extremely rational designing.
