This paper deals with the genera Acrophylla Gray and Parapachymorpha Brunner of Phasmatodea, which are recorded for the first time from China. Two species, Acrophylla swhua- nensis and Parapachymorpha tetracantha, are new to science. The type specimens are kept in the Collection of the Entomological Museum, Northwestern Agricultural University, China. 1 Acrophylla sichuanensis, sp. nov. (Figs. 1-2) This new species is very similar to A. phyllocerca Redtenbacher, but differs from the latter in: 1) hindwings longer, extending to 3rd abdominal segment; 2) denticle number on the four posterior legs different; 3) posterior margin of anal segment nearly truncate. Measurements(mm) :body 142. 0; mesonotum 29. 0; metanotum (with median segment) 19.0; tegmen 23. 0; hindwing 35. 0; fore femur 35. 0; middle femur 27. 0; hind femur 33. 5. Male : unknown. Holotype ■, China: Sichuan, Ya'an (29.9° N,102,9°E),21-Ⅷ-1939, coll. North- western Agricultural University. 2 Parapachymorpha tetracantha, sp. nov. (Fig. 3) This new species is related to P. spinosa Brunner, but it can be distinguished from the latter by: 1) meso-and metathorax only with sparse spines; 2) each tergite of 6?0 abdominal seg- ments without distinct spines; 3) carinae on the four posterior femora and tibiae covered with ob- tuse denticles. Measurements (mm): body 40. 0; mesonotum 8. 6; metanotum (with median segment) 5. 6 median segment 1. 6; middle femur 10. 0; hind femur 11. 5. Male: unknown. Holotype ■, China: Yunnan, Xishuangbanna (Jinghong), 454m, (22. ℃ N,100. 80°E ), 14-25-Ⅴ-1974, coll, Chou Io & Yuan Feng.
