户外家具主要指用于室外或半室外的供公共性活动之用的家具,它是决定建筑物室外空间(包括半室外的空间)功能的物质基础和表现室外空间形式的重要元素。户外家具区别于一般家具的特点在于其作为城市景观环境的组成元素—城市的"道具",从环境的和整体的观念及文化和社会的观点来讨论它的"公共性"和"交流性"特征,促进创新的设计,使其与环境呼应并自成一体,富有个性和魅力,起到丰富城市文化内涵和提升城市品质的作用。
Outdoor furniture refers mainly to public furniture outdoor or semi-outdoor. It decides the material base of space function outside buildings (including semi-outside building space ) and it is an important element to show formation of outdoor space. Outdoor furniture is different from general furniture. Its character lies in forming an environmental element of city's landscape - it is city's 'stage properties'. From the idea of the whole environment and the viewpoint of culture and society to discuss its public and exchanging characteristics, a new design can be promoted, keeping it match the environment and form a whole body. It has its specific character and charm, also it will play a role of enriching city's cultural intension and enhancing city's quality.
