一种实用型氢原子钟已在上海天文台研制成功并投入使用。这篇文章描述它的设计特点,频率稳定度测试以及它的环境性能测试。测试和实用结果表明,在频率稳定度性能以及对磁场、温度和气压灵敏度等环境性能方面较之上海天文台早期实验室型氢原子钟均有根本性的改善。频率稳定度在1秒到10秒之间呈现τ-1特征,σy(τ)=2.2×10-13/τ;10秒到500秒之间呈现τ-1/2特征,σy(τ)=5.5×10-14/τ1/2;而取样时间1000秒左右的最好稳定度在3-5×10-15。测量的温度灵敏度为1-3×10-14/℃;磁场灵敏度为1.1×10-12/G,气压灵敏度为4×10-16/mmHg。
A new generation of frequency Standard, a transportable hydrogen maser, has been dcsigned and built at the Shanghai Observatory. A comprehcnsive series of environmental and short-term stability tests on the new maser has been completed and evaluated.
The test results reported here show substantial improvements over previous maser of Shanghai Observatory in measured sensitivity to variation in ambient temperature, barome-tric pressure, and magnetic fields.
The maser frequency stability, as represented by the Allan Variance, has been measured for averaging times ranging from 1 to 10~0seconds, The stability data abtained shows the τ-1 characteristic between l and 10 seconds, and τ-1/2 characteristic between 10 and 500 seconds. The variance is lower than 3×10-15 for averaging intervals between 1000 s and 10000 seconds.
