我国热水器行业的发展起步于70年代末期,1980年全国热水器的保有量不到100万台。90年代后,随着人们生活水平的提高和居民住房条件的改善,对热水器的需求快速增加,到1999年,全国热水器的保有量已达5000万台以上,热水器在居民家庭生活中逐步成为生活必需品。经过20多年的市场培育,热水器市场已从十几年前的燃气热水器独领风骚发展至今天的电热水器、燃气热水器、太阳能热水器的三分天下。
By the end of 2000, electrical water-heaters had made a much fasterprogress than gas water-heaters by covering 63% of the total water-heatersmarket, and become main products in China's water-heaters market. It ispredicted that the demand for water-heaters will increase by nearly 10% inthe 2001 domestic market, and electrical water-heaters will go up by about20% in China. The market has been torn apart by about 180 differentbrands of water-heaters, both electrical and gas.
