BaF_2晶体镀对三联苯前后的性能研究

摘要 本文报道了两块φ30×20BaF_2晶体镀1.5mg/cm^2对三联苯波长转换膜前后能量分辨率和时间分辨率的变化。采用RCA8850光电倍增管时,对三联苯能使能量分辨率明显变好;采用EMI9818 QKB光电倍增管时,能量分辨率稍变差。文中讨论了其原因。测得两块φ20×10BaF-2晶体镀1.6mg/cm^2对三联苯后对^(60)Coγ射线的时间分辨率为502ps。 Properties of BaF2 crystals coated with or without P-terphenyl (a wavelength shifter) were studied. When crystals were mounted on the RCA 8850 PMTs, the use of the snifter resulted in a better energy resolution, but for EMI 9818 QKB PMTs, a worse result was obtained. The reason for these results was discussed. Time resolution measured for 60Co γ rays was 502 ps when two φ20×10 BaF2 crystals coated with 1.6 mg/cm2 P-terphenyl were coupled to RCA 8850 PMTs.
