摘要
对El Nino成因进行了分析讨论,指出El Nino事件的发生,乃是(太平洋)大洋环流发生大规模异常变化的结果。由于引起大洋环流异变的作用因子是多种多样的,El Nino事件的成因也就是复杂的。本文认为,ElNino事件中的高温水是来自东太平洋热水库,并非来自西太平洋热水库。在赤道区(水平)科氏力已消失,不可能存在Kelvin波。退一步讲,即使存在Kelvin波(或其他长波),它们也不能把西太平洋的高温水输送到东太平洋,因为波动只能传递能量,不能传递质量。另外,在El Nino事件期间,也未观测到赤道太平洋表层的西向流变为东向流这样的异常现象。
In this paper the causes of El-Nino event are discussed.It is pointed out that the occurrence of El-Nifio event is a result of anomalous variation of ocean circulation in the Pacific.Because the factors causing the variation of ocean circulation are various,the formation causes El-Nifio event are very complicated.It is held that the warm water,which appears in the East Pacific during El-Nino period,comes from the warm pool in the East,Pacific,not the West Pacific.Because the horizontal Coriolis force disappears in the equatorial area,.therefore the Kelvin wave could not exist.Even though the Kelvin wave or other long waves existed in equatorial area,they could not transport the warm water to the East Pacific from the West Pacific,because the wave motion can noly transport energy,not mass.Besides,it has never been observed that westward surface current in the equatorial area turned to eastward during the El-Nino period.
