Relationship between dynamic pore pressure and excited energy of light loam and its application to predicting site liquefaction potential

摘要 According to analysis for a lot of constant volume cyclic shear test result on an alluvial soil with high plastic fines, a constitutive relationship between the dynamic pore water pressure and the dissipated energy is proposed herein. A simplified energy expression is determined by a statistical analysis of 66 liguefaction case histories, which may be easily used for predicting site liquefaction potential of light loam, its correct rate of prediction for another 86 liquefaction case histories is about 90 %. It shows that the suggested energy expression is quite satisfactory.
