数据库系统性能的调整是一项复杂的系统工程，涉及到操作系统、数据库系统、网络和应用程序等多 个方面。本文综合论述了如何从操作系统级、数据库管理系统级、数据库设计级和应用程序级，来提高 Ｏｒａｃｌｅ数据库系统的性能。
The database performance tuning is a complicated system engineering which deals with the operating system, database system, network, application and so on. This article mainly discusses how to tune Oracle8 database performance on 4 levels: OS level DBMS level, DB design level and application level.
