简要介绍了 1 999年土耳其伊兹米特地震的有关情况 ,包括 :震中附近地区的经济地位、构造背景、地震活动背景、震前地震预报研究国际合作情况 ;这次地震造成的地震灾害。
The present paper gives a brief outline of the main aspects of the 1999 Izmit,Turkey earthquake of M 7 8,including the economic importance,the tectonic setting,the seismic background and the international investigations earthquake prediction for the disaster area,the earthquake losses,the damage features and the main reasons for the extremely heavy disasters of this earthquake,as well as the legal management work of the earthquake disasters in Turkey
