摘要
知识经济时代的到来，为具有知识和信息储存、加工、整理、传播功能的图书馆的情报服务工作提供了机遇，拓展了图书馆的服务职能，从而使图书馆藏书结构发生变化，读者服务功能得到扩展，教育功能得到加强，信息服务功能得到强化，同时对图书馆员应具备的知识素质和业务能力素质也提出了更高的要求。
The coming of the age of knowledge economy provides opportunity for information service of the library which has the function of saving processing arranging and spreading knowledge and information．It also extends the service function of the library thus changing the structure of book－collection in the library extending the reader－service function strengthening its educational function and information service function． At the same time it also requires higher knowledge quality and professional quality of the librarian．
