In this paper,the lowest energy principle and its thermodynamics and kinetics significance have been set forth.According to the lowest energy principle,judgement reaction direction and mechanism on organic chemistry reaction have been investigated.In addition,basic principles of organic reactions,such as the essence ofMarkovnikov rule,effects of solvent effect on S N1 or S N2 reaction rate,and necessity of carbon atom possessing sp 3,sp 2 and sp orbits in organic compounds,and so on,have also been explained.As a result,the lowest energy principle plays an important role in the studying and learning of organic chemistry and so on.
