摘要
社会转型意味着社会经济结构、社会运行机制、大众心理和价值观念的转换与除旧布新 ,对于当代中国社会发展与现代化具有特殊意义。当代中国社会转型在各地区的进程是不平衡的 ,即东部沿海地区迅速而西部地区相对滞后 ,这是导致西部地区经济发展缓慢、西部地区与东部沿海地区发展差距拉大的现实原因。实施西部大开发 ,要正确认识和处理西部开发与社会转型的内在关系 ,加快西部地区社会转型的进程 。
Social transformation means the transformation of social economic structure,social functioning mechanism,the change of people′s mentality and concept of values as well as doing away the old and setting up the new;therefore it is of great significance to China′s social development and modernization.But development is not balanced in different areas and regions in terms of social transformation,i.e.the east coastal areas have a faster social transformation than that in the west,which has led to a slower economic development in the western regions and a wide gap between the east and west areas.In implementing the western development strategy,we should understand well and handle appropriately the internal relations between social transformation and western development so that with social transformation as promoter,the process of social transformation in western regions will be expedited.\;
