摘要
汽车发动机的可变气门正时系统(Variable valve timing,VVT)领域越来越成为各大粉末冶金厂商争夺的焦点,如何利用简单的机械压机成形复杂结构的VVT转子将成为降低成本、赢得商机的关键因素之一。本文以模架结构仅能安装1个上冲、2个下冲(上1下2)的机械压机为基础,论述了传统方式模具方案的设计特点,归纳了其现实的失效模式和原因,并提出了克服这些失效应采取的措施,从而进一步论述了通过对压机进行模具和部件结构的改进,最终得以成功成形复杂结构的VVT转子。
More and more PM manufacturers have focused on the variable valve timing (VVT) system in automobile engine field. How to form complex structure VVT rotors with simple press will become one of the key factors to reduce the cost and win business opportunities. A mechanical press which can be installed only one upper lunch and two lower punch on the mould was employed in this paper, the characteristics of the traditional mould design were discussed, the failure modes and causes were summarized, and the measures should be taken to overcome the failures were put forward. The mould and press parts were improved, and then the complex structure VVT rotors were formed with simple mechanical press successfully.
