The large increase in the cost of fruit and vegetables, 17 percent and 13 percent, respectively, contributed to this overall increase in the CP The low figures for CPI fall significantly below 3.5 percent, China's annual target for the whole year of 2014, which effectively gives the Chinese Government more options for steering the economy.
