一种基于人眼视觉特性的视频质量评价算法 被引量:9

摘要 为了更好地提高视频编码效率与视频处理的性能,考虑人眼对不同内容的感知特性和掩蔽效应,以及时域人眼视觉特性,提出一种基于人眼视觉特性的视频客观质量评价算法.首先利用三维Sobel矩阵提取时空特性划分区域,并结合恰可察觉失真视觉阈值与绝对差值图来提取感兴趣区域;然后对感兴趣区域进行感知加权,并利用线性加权进行空间域融合;最后结合时域人眼视觉特性,利用低通函数模拟人眼的不对称感知,并通过最差情况加权策略得到视频序列客观质量评价值.在LIVE视频质量数据库上的实验结果表明,该质量评价算法具有较好的评价性能,更接近于主观测试结果. To improve video encoding efficiency and performance of video signal processing, an objective video quality assessment metric based on human visual system (HVS) is proposed in this paper by considering the perceptual characteristics to different content, masking effect and spatio- temporal human visual characteristics. Firstly, according to the video spatio-temporal characteristics extracted by three-dimensional Sobel matrix, the proposed metric divides video frame into three regions, and extracts region of interest in combination with just noticeable difference and absolute difference maps. Secondly, the perceptual weighting is used in the region of interest, and the linear weighting is used for spatial domain pooling. Finally, in consideration of HVS's temporal characteristics, the proposed metric uses low-pass function to simulate HVS's asymmetric perceptual characteristics and uses worst-case pooling strategy to obtain the final objective evaluation value of video sequence. The proposed metric is tested on the LIVE subjective quality video database, and the experimental results show that the proposed metric can perform better and its evaluation results are more consistent with subjective perception, compared with other classical methods.
