摘要
陆学艺对中国社会学的重要贡献之一，是他坚持了一条“植根于中国土壤之中”的学术路线。这条学术路线，从根本上回答了中国社会学所面对的中西、古今、理实（理论与经验）、学用（学术与应用）问题。明确了这些基本关系，社会学中国化的关键就抓住了，中国社会学的发展道路就明确了，就能够发展成为一门直面中国问题，运用适合中国的概念，得出对中国有用的结论，提出符合中国实际的方案，促进中国富强、民主、和谐的“富民学”、“强国学”。
One of Professor Lu Xueyi's important contributions to Chinese sociology is the academic route he persevered—— 'Rooted in China'.This route fundamentally settles the controversies of Chinese sociology,namely Chinese vs.western,past vs.present,theoretical vs.empirical,academic vs.practical.With these basic relations defined,we can get the keys to the localization and the future development of sociology in China.Rooted in China,sociology will tackle problems with concepts fit for China and propose practical plans based on findings applicable for China.Following this route,sociology as ' a discipline for the wealth of people and for the strength of nation' will be developed to promote prosperity,democracy,and harmony of China.
